1. Data Protection at a Glance

General Information

The following information provides a clear overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. Detailed information on data protection can be found in the full privacy policy below.

Data Collection on This Website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator: Christopher Adels (operating under the studio/project designation “20Dimensions”). Full contact details can be found in section 3 below and in the Imprint.

How do we collect your data?

On the one hand, your data is collected when you actively communicate it to us (for example, by sending an email or calling us directly). On the other hand, technical connection data (such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and time of the page request) is automatically processed by the hosting infrastructure as soon as you access this website in order to deliver the pages securely.

What do we use your data for?

Technical connection data is processed exclusively to ensure error-free and secure provision of the website. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or behavioral analytics tools.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR). You also have the right to request the rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) of this data, as well as the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

2. Hosting and Content Delivery Network (Cloudflare Pages)

This website is hosted as a static website via Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter “Cloudflare”).

When you visit our website, Cloudflare processes technically required connection data (server log files), including your IP address, the requested URL, referrer URL, date and time of the request, browser type/version, and operating system, in order to deliver the website via its global Content Delivery Network (CDN) and to defend against malicious attacks (e.g., DDoS protection).

The use of Cloudflare is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the most reliable, fast, and secure presentation of our website. Data transmission to the USA is based on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) of the European Commission and Cloudflare’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR. Further details can be found in Cloudflare’s privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

3. General Information and Mandatory Disclosures

Data Protection

The operator of these pages takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission on the Internet (e.g., when communicating by email) may have security vulnerabilities; complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Controller (Verantwortliche Stelle)

The controller responsible for data processing on this website pursuant to Art. 4 (7) GDPR is:

Christopher Adels
(Studio / Project Designation: 20Dimensions)
Im Wasserblech 53
51107 Köln (Cologne)
Germany
Phone: +49 152 26128508
Email: contact@20d.rocks / info@chris-adels.de

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., commercial or tax law retention periods); in the latter case, deletion takes place after these reasons cease to apply.

Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time (Art. 7 (3) GDPR). The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. e or f GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process your affected personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims (Objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR).

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The competent supervisory authority for North Rhine-Westphalia is: Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format (Art. 20 GDPR).

SSL / TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Information, Rectification, Deletion, and Restriction of Processing

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, and, if applicable, a right to rectification, deletion, or restriction of processing of this data (Art. 15–18 GDPR). You can contact us at any time at the address given in the Imprint.

4. Data Collection on This Website

No Tracking Cookies & Local Storage (localStorage)

This website does not set any tracking, marketing, or analytics cookies. Only if you actively click the color-scheme toggle button (Light / Dark mode) in the footer, your visual preference (light or dark) is stored locally in your browser’s localStorage under the key color-scheme. This entry contains no personal identifiers, is never transmitted to our servers, and is technically necessary exclusively to provide the display mode explicitly requested by you pursuant to § 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

Local Hosting of Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts (Sora and Inter) that are hosted locally on our own web space. No connection to external font servers (such as Google Fonts) is established when you visit this website.

Inquiries by Email or Phone

If you contact us by email or telephone, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, contact details, content of the inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the execution of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.

The data sent by you to us via contact requests remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after processing your request has been completed). Mandatory statutory provisions (in particular statutory retention periods) remain unaffected.
